Computer Analyst/Programmer
Developed applications using Eclipse and Rational Application Developer for both batch processes and Webshere Application Server. Created Java web applications using Struts, Spring, iBatis, Struts tag libraries, and JSPs. Designed and maintained Logistics and Contract Maintainence system responsible for calculating millions of dollars in carrier payments for the USPS, including both domestic and international carriers. Helped create batch application to process thousands of XML International Mail documents using jdom and dom4j. Utilized Oracle, MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and sqlite databases. Managed multiple projects simultaneously. Single handedly responsible for implementing Subversion as the Standard SCM tool used Enterprise wide. Co-wrote the United States Postal Service’s standards for version control. Co-wrote USPS Development Standards document used as guidelines for all developers and contractors at the USPS. Worked on a committee that implemented the USPS’s change management policy and SOX compliance.
